Santa made it into Ironbark Court!

As the smiles on the kids indicate, Santa did find us all again this year.
Hope he found everyone else!

The "Study" is finally finished!

After 15 years of living with the study more like a junk room, we have finally gone all out and done it over Ikea style.
After spending several hours at the fancy Richmond store on Saturday we got home and started construction at 8pm. 24 hours later it was finally done but not without a few frustrations and a lot of swear words. [I don't think joinery is Barry's specialty] The CD tower was a mere 4 cm too wide despite Barry's very concerted efforts to make it fit!!
So, we had to configure things a little differently, but it finally looks like a study!! And the room seems twice the size!!
A garage sale is next on the agenda to unload all the extra "Second Hand Items & Trivia" that did not fit.

The Debacles

The debacles also visited Nannie's studio last weekend for their annual update photos. For once Belle decided to be enthusiastic about it and really got into the swing of things...

The Boort Boys

The Boort Boys were in town on Friday visiting so we caught up with them in Nannie's Christmas Studio for the annual photoshoot.
Little Hudson [now 4 months] is growing so fast and is such a smiley little chap, whilst big brothers Oscar and Angus are getting bigger every day as well.
Oscar is looking forward to school after Christmas - only seems like yesterday that we were visiting that tiny little scrap of a baby at the Mercy Hosptial special care nursery - how fast does five years go?!

Wishlists

It has been suggested that this would be a good spot to place Christmas wishlists.

If there is something you really hope to see in your Christmas stocking this year, then here is the way to let everyone else know about it.
So post a wishlist or put up with what you find in your stocking!
[There are no guarantees that the wishlist will be adhered to but it could be a good guide....]

Family Baton Bearer!!

Have just heard via Deanne that a certain family member will be carrying the infamous baton in the Commonwealth Games Queen's Relay!!
Yes, Scott was the lucky employee of DeBortolis [sponsors of the Games] to get to carry the baton!
Albeit for 500 metres at 7am on Saturday January 28th, it is an honour most of us mere mortals will not be given; so well done Scott and for goodness sake don't drop the damn thing or trip over!!
We will expect to see pics of the grand event posted here within hours of taking place......

Another departure..

I received a phone message today to tell me that one of Grandma's 2 surviving siters [Auntie Connie} passed away last Tuesday, funeral was today at 11am in Euroa so unfortunlatley I was unable to make it on such short notice. That leaves just Auntie Ethel [the only sister] and 3 sister in laws left now. You may recall that Auntie Sylvie died just 3 weeks ago, she was from Geelong.
On the other side of the family, the last family member in Paddy's generation died 2 weeks ago; Auntie Jean who was Paddy's brother Dan's wife. They lived in Dubbo NSW.
